Premier League debuts are great when they include scoring and helping your team to all three points. Kieffer Moore scored Bournemouth's second goal last Saturday, after Jefferson Lerma had given the Cherries the lead, the Welshman scored from Lloyd Kelly's cross in 80 minutes. Moore, 30, was awarded the Player of the match award for his outstanding performance. He was a great leader and caused problems for the Villa back-line, making Diego Carlos's first match in English football difficult.

Moore reflected on a memorable day and said, "I look back with good memories and what it took to get there, to finish it off with a goal, was amazing." But that's all in the past. I can now put that behind me and get on to the next game. Moore has had a difficult climb to the top. He started his senior career in sixth-tier Truro City, National League South. After Yeovil Town's promotion to Championship in 2013, Moore was awarded a big-money move.

The 6'5 target man scored only nine goals in 58 Glovers appearances before making the move to Norwegian side Viking in August 2015. Moore returned to England six months later. He had spells at Barnsley, Forest Green, Barnsley, Cardiff City, and Barnsley before his move to Bournemouth in January. Moore's first month on the south coast was a difficult one. He missed two months due to a foot injury, however Moore made an immediate impact upon his return to the team and scored the goal that took Bournemouth back into the Premier League in the penultimate match of the campaign against Nottingham Forest. Moore explained his journey to the top-flight by saying: "A lot has been done to get here, and a lot missed opportunities at times, but it was worth it. It was worth all I did, all the behind closed doors stuff. All that is hidden from the public.

In 66 appearances for Cardiff City, Kieffer Moore scored 25 goals

"I gave everything to get to this point. I'm grateful that I'm here now, and I won't let this chance slip by. I'm going take it with both hands. He said, "All the sacrifices that I made through social functions, missing people's birthdays, and not being in a position to see my family as often as I would like." These are the things I have missed out on. Many thought Bournemouth was the favourite to go down alongside Fulham, a newly-promoted club. Both sides had positive results, with Liverpool drawing 2-2 with the Cottagers.

Moore is determined to prove the doubters wrong, even though it is only one match. The Cherries key focus this year is  to stay in the Premier League and Moore also stated that it was a positive that his team each time entered matches in the Premier League as the underdog. He said, "It is a good thing people are doubting us. It is always good to play underdogs, there's more bite." "People will doubt you, they will think you are not up for the cause and that should only give you more motivation to go to these stadiums and play these games."
