We are looking for a Social Media Producer to play a key role in delivering bold, distinctive and high-performing content across our digital ecosystem. Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you will help manage and evolve the Club’s presence across Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and emerging platforms.
You will be central to ensuring our content reflects the identity, energy and expectations of Leeds United, while being tailored to the strengths, audiences and cultures of each individual platform.
What are the responsibilities?
Support the Social Media Manager in the day-to-day management of Leeds United’s social media channels across Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, whilst keeping an eye on emerging platforms.
Plan, create and publish platform-first content that increases differentiation between accounts and ensures each channel serves its specific audience and purpose.
Share matchday responsibilities across Men’s, Academy and Women’s fixtures, delivering timely, accurate and engaging live coverage and post-match content.
Support the operation of the Elland Road social media account, ensuring stadium events, matchday information and key moments are promoted effectively across all platforms.
Work closely with internal teams, commercial partners, the Premier League and external collaborators to deliver integrated campaigns, activations and content that meet brand and partner objectives
Provide support to our international agency, collaborating to develop and deliver geo-targeted content strategies that support audience growth and engagement in new and priority markets.
Monitor platform performance and audience behaviour, using insights to inform content decisions, improve engagement and optimise output across channels.
Stay up to date with platform trends, emerging formats and best practice, proactively identifying opportunities to innovate and evolve Leeds United’s social media presence.
Ensure all content adheres to Leeds United brand guidelines, tone of voice and safeguarding requirements, while always maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Provide operational support around scheduling, publishing, community management and real-time content during peak periods, including evenings and weekends.
Work with Editorial Lead to maximise the reach of news and editorial content, with specific focus on driving traffic to Club owned platforms – website, app, etc.
Collaborate with the in-house video and graphic teams to create industry leading digital content in line with the Club’s brand framework and tone of voice.
Person Specification
Essential
Demonstrated experience in creating successful social media content
Experience and excellent knowledge of all major social media platforms and the ability to adapt quickly to changes in how they operate
Proficient use of Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Instagram Edits, Capcut, with experience of using After Effects desirable.
Passion, knowledge and interest in football
Creative thinker who is highly organised with a forward-planning attitude
Ability to use social media analytics tools and reports to evaluate performance, inform your approach, ensure best practice
Comfortable operating in extremely high-pressured situations
Due to the nature of this role, we are looking for somebody who is flexible and willing to work around the football calendar, including weekends and evenings
Full UK Driving Licence
