The Lead Academy Football Coach plays a central role in developing and implementing Vision7’s football philosophy across all academy age groups. This position leads the technical coaching program, ensuring a consistent, high-quality player development pathway aligned with Vision7’s standards and long-term strategy reporting into the Director Of Football. 

The role combines on-pitch leadership with operational planning, coach mentoring, and close coordination with the Director Of Football and Academy Operations team to deliver a professional training environment and player experience.

Operational Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and monitor the technical and tactical training program for all academy age groups in line with Vision7’s football philosophy.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the academy coaching team, ensuring consistent session quality and adherence to coaching frameworks.
• Plan and oversee weekly training schedules, match programs, and player development reviews.
• Conduct regular player evaluations and provide detailed performance feedback to players and parents where appropriate.
• Support recruitment and talent identification for academy players across all categories.
• Collaborate with the Medical, Sports Science, and Analysis teams to integrate multidisciplinary support into player development plans.
• Oversee compliance with all academy rules, safety standards, and safeguarding policies.
• Coordinate training logistics, equipment management, and facility use in partnership with academy operations staff.
• Represent Vision7 at internal and external football events, tournaments, and partnership programs.

Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities

• Shape and continuously refine the academy’s football curriculum, ensuring alignment with Vision7’s long-term sporting strategy.
• Manage, inspire, and evaluate the coaching team to sustain high performance and professional growth.
• Work with senior management to establish clear progression routes into senior squads or partner clubs.
• Apply informed judgment regarding player selection, development priorities, and performance objectives.
• Ensure the academy’s coaching philosophy and operations reflect Vision7’s values of excellence, discipline, and growth.

Performance Indicators:

• Player Development Success – Measured improvement and progression of academy players through internal and external benchmarks.
• Coaching Quality – Consistency and standard of coaching delivery across age groups.
• Staff Development – Advancement and retention of academy coaching staff.
• Operational Efficiency – Effective planning and coordination of training and match schedules.
• Stakeholder Satisfaction – Positive feedback from players, parents, and partner organisations.

Education & Experience

• UEFA B or equivalent coaching qualification required
• Minimum 5 years coaching experience within academy or elite youth football environments..
• Previous experience in leading or mentoring coaching staff.

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of modern coaching methodologies, player development, and performance analysis.
• Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance football environment.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability to Vision7’s Saudi-based operations.
• Proficiency in English (Arabic language skills an advantage).
