JOB PURPOSE
- ETCplayers experience a physical performance programme that supports the club blueprint and delivers high quality athletes who are balanced, autonomous and adaptable
- Players experiencea safe, secure, and supportiveenvironment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Physical Performance Development
- Contribute to the ETC blueprint/ curriculum ensuring there is S&C provision which complements the football programme.
- Deliver-or oversee the delivery of-the ETC's physical development programme, including:
Design and deliver individualised athletic development programmes as well as group training sessions
Provideinjuryrehabilitationtrainingofplayersasdirectedbythe physiotherapist/sports therapist, in preparation for return to training
Design and deliver a fitness testing programme.Use the results to drive group and individual training programmes
Work with Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist to develop and support an activation/ prehab programme
- Manage facilities and equipment within the ETC so that it is well maintained and safe to use
- Maintain a comprehensivedatabase of work conducted with athletes and coaches. Keep records which meet the standard required by The FA and the appropriate professional bodies
- Communicate with parentsin the event of S&C related queries, generally and specifically to their children.
- Educate parents with regard to their role in supporting physical development, injury prevention, injury care, recovery, diet and other factors relating to lifestyle away from the ETC
Multi Disciplinary Working & Culture
- Advise and direct other staff on the needs of players.Attend case management meetings and provide professional opinion /input
- Educatecoacheson the S&C provisionandembeddingphysicaloutcomeswithintechnicalsessions
- Work with the ETC's Safeguarding Manager to ensure that the wellbeing and welfare of all players and staff is always an operational priority
Self Development
- Seek feedback from others, and reflect on personal behaviour and performance to identify areas for improvement
- Keep abreast of current research and evidence-based practice in the S&C field. Practitioners should undertake CPD in line with their professional body guidelines
- Keep professional qualification up to date and active by completing the relevant number of CPD points as stipulated by their awarding body
- Create and maintain a personalised Development Action Plan (DAP), taking input and feedback from a variety of sources
- Participate in internal and external professional development activities and demonstrate a commitment to undertake on-going formal education programmes
- Review personal competencies against job specification and identify areas for improvement
- Attend CPDevents and undertakeCPDactivities in linewith identifieddevelopment themes
- Work with an advisoror mentorfrom outsidethe ETC
MAIN JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education/Qualifications/Training:
Essential
- BSc in Sports Science, Sports Science related discipline or BA in PE & Primary Years
- Hold UK S&C Association (UKSCA) or ASCC accreditation, certified S&C Specialist (CSCS). If not obtained evidence provided to show ability to working towards it. By recruiting practitioner working towards it ETC must ensure they are accredited within 12 months. This may require financial support or allowing time for training/assessments. Could be working towards MSc S&C or postgraduate releated. Have other S&S qualifications (CSCS/ASCA level 2, BWLA, FA Level 3)

Specific Experience:
- An understanding of S&C in an applied team setting. May have experience in female football & knowledge of key concepts of S&C in female football

- Experience of developing & delivering individual & group physical preparation & recovery strategies for children & young females
- Knowledge of injury minimisation strategies
- Up to date understanding of Child protection and safeguarding procedures
