Job Purpose

To collect, analyse and interpret data to provide valuable insights into player and team performance.

Job Responsibilities
1. Gather data from various sources, including match footage, tracking systems, statistical databases, and other relevant sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data sets.
2. Conduct statistical analysis of performance data to identify patterns, trends, and performance indicators. Utilise statistical techniques to uncover insights.
3. Develop and calculate performance metrics to evaluate player and team performance, including technical skills, tactical effectiveness, physical attributes, and other relevant factors.
4. Create visualisations, dashboards, and reports to communicate analysis findings effectively to coaches, players, and other stakeholders.
5. Support player development initiatives by analysing performance data, identifying areas for improvement, and tracking player progress over time. Work closely with coaches and performance staff to develop individualised development plans for players.
6. Collaborate closely with relevant members of the analysis department and supporting departments to integrate data analysis insights into overall team strategies and player development plans.
7. Manage the hardware/software requirements of the department.
8. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the department.
9. Stay abreast of advancements in data analysis technology and tools, integrating new systems and software to enhance analysis capabilities and improve workflow efficiency.
