Role Summary:
We are looking for a committed and organised Casual Academy Sport Psychologist to assist the Lead Academy Psychologist in developing and delivering the sport psychology programme within our academy.
You will play an important role supporting the psychological development of the players and their families.
Your Key responsibilities include:
Deliver in conjunction with the Lead Academy Psychologist a sport psychology programme to U9-16s that aligns with the EPPP category 3 requirements
Provide one-to-one psychological support that is evidence-based for selected players that aligns with the academies sport psychology framework
Design and deliver parent education workshops in line with the academy sport psychology programme to academy parents across Foundation and Youth development phases.
Provide on-field psychological support to coaches and players across Foundation and Youth development phases
Keep all relevant documentation up to date and meet deadlines set by the Lead Academy Psychologist (e.g. Meeting notes, Psychology Reports, Case studies, Time sheets)
Work collaboratively with other support disciplines (e.g., Player Care, Physiotherapists, Strength and Conditioning coach) as and when needed.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and equal opportunity procedures and practices are adhered to.
Engage in continued professional development in line with sport psychology training route requirements
Must be available 5-8pm on Wednesday evenings.
About The Candidate
Your Skills and Experience:
Essential-
Working towards or completed BASES/BPS/Professional Doctorate accreditation
MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology or related discipline
FA safeguarding certificate
Desirable-
Previous experience working with children and young adults in a medical setting.
