FIFA 22: Ligue 1 Team of the Season Review – Attackers

The front three everyone has been patiently waiting for. When Lionel Messi joined PSG last summer, the Parisians had one of the best front threes on paper that World Football had ever seen meaning on FIFA, it was going to cause players nightmares when you saw them line-up against you. To with them, three other options who have had stellar seasons in France so in this final article, we look at the Ligue 1 Team of the Season attackers.

The best player in Ligue 1 last season will be tormenting defenders in France for at least three more years after signing a new contract last week. Kylian Mbappe scored 28 goals and registered 17 assists in his best-ever season in terms of numbers in Ligue 1 earning him a 97-rated card: the same as his Team of the Year item. He does have a couple of minor changes with an extra shooting and dribbling but one less physical that will have barely any differences in-game.

Lionel Messi’s debut season in France could have gone better in terms of goalscoring output but he still registered multiple assists: enough to secure him his first PSG Team of the Season item. The Argentine’s rating dropped by one from his Team of the Year item and his pace, shooting, and passing have reduced by one to compensate.

The final part of the PSG front three has had a difficult season to his high standards. Neymar’s Team of the Season card has 99 dribbling, 96 pace, 91 passing, and 90 shooting bringing him back into the elite level for attacking options in FIFA to go with his 5* skill moves and weak foot.

Wissam Ben Yedder is next up with another Team of the Season card that will cause opponent’s nightmare because of his unpredictability. The Frenchman’s 5* weak foot accompanied by his 98 dribbling and 96 pace and shooting will make him one of the most lethal finishers on FIFA 22 this year. The Monaco man could play behind the striker because of his 91-passing adding a level of versatility to his game.

A man who is certain to play behind the striker is Dimitri Payet who has had another brilliant campaign in France. The Marseille captain has a central card whereas most of his previous special items have been from the left-wing position. With his main four attacking stats about 92, the former West Ham star will be highly desired for those incredibly overpowered green-time finesse shots from outside the area.

Concluding the Ligue 1 attackers will be one of the cheaper players from the 15-man squad: Martin Terrier. The Frenchman’s 98 pace will make him a brilliant option off the bench to stretch defences with tired legs. Terrier has a big upgrade from his Player of the Month item that was not popular because of his 3* skill moves and weak foot.

Concluding, the attackers from Ligue 1’s Team of the Season are simply out of this world. The front three from PSG will take all of the attention and will obviously be very expensive but Payet and Ben Yedder are also stunning cards that people will want to get their hands on.
