His coaching career kicked off at the Livingston Youth Academy, where he delivered comprehensive football programs to primary and secondary school students. At the Livingston Youth Academy, Matty also took charge of a development squad, where he helped young players fine-tune their skills and prepare for the next level of their footballing journey. His dedication and guidance played a crucial role in several players successfully transitioning into men’s football.
The next chapter in Matty’s coaching journey saw him appointed as the head coach of Camelon U20s. Here, he showcased his ability to lead and inspire young players, creating an environment where they could thrive and reach their full potential. Matty’s exceptional coaching abilities were once again evident as he guided numerous players towards making their mark in men’s football.
Following his time at Camelon U20s, Matty joined the academy of Scottish professional club Falkirk, where he further enhanced his coaching skills. This invaluable experience provided him with a deeper understanding of the intricacies and demands of coaching at a professional level.
In April, we were fortunate enough to welcome Matty into the CJ Coaching team. His expertise, experience, and passion for player development align perfectly with our vision and mission. We firmly believe that his addition will contribute significantly to the continued growth and success of our coaching programs.
