Through our Pathways pillar, we deliver targeted interventions to help people find a positive place in their community, equipping them with tools they need to carve out pathways for the future.
This position will be responsible for the management, development and coordination of our ‘Premier League Kicks’ programme. You will use the power of the Southampton FC brand to work with 8–18-year old’s who are at risk of anti-social behaviour, youth violence and/or from high need areas to regularly engage in football, sport, mentoring and personal development opportunities.
What will you be doing?
- Oversee the management and coordination of the PL Kicks programme, ensuring project staff are fully equipped to deliver their work and that activities are delivered to the highest standard.
- Manage the coordination of the projects deliverables to include regular sessions, education-based workshops, tournaments, player visits, etc in accordance with the delivery plan.
- Deliver against the projects KPIs and Outcomes, demonstrating progression measured against the project objectives, reporting against the requirements set out in the delivery plan.
- Lead the development and coordination of ‘Kicks squad’ a volunteering programme to create development pathways for participants.
- Ensure the PL Kicks programme is delivered within the prescribed budget, monitoring project spend and updating records in accordance with both the charity and funders requirements.
- Provide effective and inspiring line management, to include 1:1 support, objective setting, appraisal whilst identifying staff training to support Kicks Project Officer, Kicks Apprentice, and Casual Staff members to enable them to deliver projects as per the requirements of the funder(s). This includes responsibility for all Performance Development reviews and their personal and professional development.
- To oversee the responsibilities for monitoring and evaluation for Premier League Kicks in accordance with the charities reporting tools and the needs of each funder, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting of data as and when required.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of delivering or providing targeted interventions to young people in community settings.
- Experience of developing partnerships at all levels and/or experience of collaborative working to deliver needs driven projects.
- Hold experience in leading a team of full-time, casual staff and volunteers.
- Experience of successfully delivering community-based projects, that is demonstrated through the achievement of KPIs and Outcomes.
- Qualified to a minimum UEFA C License (previously known as FA Level 2) or another sport and/or Level 2 Youth Work.
- Have excellent communication and organisation skills.
