About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our LFC Foundation department as a Youth and Schools Co-ordinator. In this role, you will deliver a work-class secondary school programme across Merseyside. You will support those who are marginalised, ‘at risk’ of offending behaviour and those at risk of not fulfilling their potential and allowing them to develop the personal skills, knowledge, and attitude to succeed in life.

What will you be doing? 

  • Deliver educational curriculum that both, up-skill and raise aspirations of young people and aligns with the philosophy of the LFC Foundation and partner individual schools.

  • Deliver curriculum aligning to accredited qualifications including the Prince’s Trust and Sports Leader.

  • Deliver an educational programme that raise the engagement of young people inside and outside education.

  • Develop a curriculum timetable which aligns with the National Curriculum and objectives set by schools.

  • Develop curriculum to achieve the LFC Foundation, schools, and funders KPI’s. alongside internal and external stakeholders to achieve KPI’s.

  • Manage the relationship with schools leads and other stakeholders to support those identified for the programme.

  • Develop and manage a timetable which is inclusive to all, involving group work and one-to-one mentoring sessions, when required.

  • Adhere to all LFC Foundation, school, and other partners Safeguarding Procedures.

  • Adhere to all LFC Foundation, school, and other partners Risk Assessment Procedures.

  • Ensure that the monitoring and evaluation framework is carried out effectively, accurately capturing data, in line with the programme reporting procedures.

  • Continually carry out self-assessment and further quality assurance procedures to ensure high level performance is maintained.

  • Manage the risk across schools to ensure the safety of all young people and staff.

  • Support other areas of the LFC Foundation, when required.


Who are we looking for? 

To be successful you will have experience in planning and delivering educational sessions, including experience working with vulnerable children and young people. You’ll be able to demonstrate experience in identifying and signposting young people to other support services/opportunities and have previous experience in collecting and analysing data. You will either hold a relevant level 3 qualification (or higher) in Education and Teaching or have experience as a Youth Work Practice or Youth Support Worker, including a Level 1 in safeguarding young people.

You will have knowledge and an understanding of National Curriculum, inclusive Youth work practice and the mentoring in a youth work context. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to implement differentiation throughout curriculum, to be self-assess and evaluate programme delivery, including the ability to evaluate successes and arears for development. You’ll be able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate your commitment to the Liverpool FC Foundation, mission, and values and your commitment to the schools’ and other partners’ mission and values included.

You’ll have excellent skills in communication such as verbal, written and presentation skills and have strong organisational and management skills, including IT skills using software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This is a full-time temporary role working 25 hours per week on a 5 from 7 day basis. Your main base will be our Anfield Sports and Community Centre.
