Birmingham City Women’s Team is seeking a dedicated
Head Coach for our U21 team.
This role involves delivering high-quality player development programmes aligned with the Club’s playing philosophy and identity, to ensure holistic growth both on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of the U21 player development curriculum, ensuring it aligns with technical and tactical standards
- Select players for FA Women’s Super League Academy matches and tournaments
- Provide pre- and post-match analysis with the club analyst
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) on training, matchday activities, and player transitions
- Support talent identification and smooth player transitions alongside the Recruitment and Education Leads
- Manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs), ensuring regular reviews throughout the season
- Balance football commitments with players' academic priorities
What we're looking for in you:Qualifications:
- Essential UEFA B Licence, Introduction to First Aid in Football
- Desirable UEFA A Licence, Emergency First Aid in Football
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in elite football environments, senior coaching, and youth development
- Able to communicate effectively with players, staff, and senior management, both written and verbal
- Adaptability, innovation, and commitment to self-improvement and personal development

- Practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work
- Focused on individual player development and supporting the Club's football philosophy
- Availability for flexible working hour
Additional Information:
- Full-time role (37.5 hours/week), including evenings and weekends
- Six-month probation period
- DBS check and medical clearance required
