Women’s Team Physiotherapist
(PART TIME)
Based at the Training Ground in Hurworth, Darlington, the main purpose of this role is to support the Medical Department in delivering a physiotherapy service to Middlesbrough FC Women’s team, predominantly in clinic cover, rehab planning and match cover, alongside supporting PDP players.
THE ROLE:
• To attend any relevant training and matches home or away as required.
• To accompany players to hospital
• To assist in the co-ordination of the medical and orthopaedic screening of players.
• To assist in the physiotherapy service for players.
• To attend all appropriate briefings and training sessions organised by the Club.
• To ensure compliance with current regulations and protocols relating to Safeguarding.
• To keep an up to date and accurate record of Continued Professional Development (CPD) and maintain qualifications to practice pitch side first aid.
CANDIDATES SHOULD:
• Hold a Degree in Physiotherapy and be associated to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists.
• Be registered with the HCPC.
• Hold a valid First Aid Certificate- preferably the FA’s ITMMIF course, or willingness to complete this.
• Possess IT skills sufficient to manage the demands of PMA (Performance Management Application) with the ability to accurately manage data.
• Have a flexible approach to working hours since evening and weekend working is essential to this role, with attendance at both home and away fixtures.
• Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a high regard for confidentiality since this role can give access to privileged information at all levels.
• The job holder must hold a full driving licence and have the use of a vehicle.
