We are looking for a dynamic, professional and ambitious coach for the women’s First Team.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting the First Team Manager with leading, delivering and developing the Women’s First Team, which currently play in the London and South East Premier Division (Tier 5).As a key strategic objective of the Board, the postholder will be contribute towards growing the section within the Club, whilst driving a team and style of play which mirrors the wider ambition to compete at the highest level possible.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral
- Working with the First Team Manager to develop and embed a transparent and productive philosophy and ‘on pitch identity’.
- Developing Sutton United Women FC footballers as individuals, and as a team, in line with club’s style of play and player profile systems.
- Liaising and cooperate with the players and managers/ coaches from the Sutton United FC Women’s Reserves, Development and U16’s to ensure a smooth transition and clear pathway into the Women’s First Team
- Observing, where needed, the Reserves team, Development team and u16 fixtures and reporting to the First Team
Manager with individual player profiles of prospective First Team Players.
- To develop resources that support the development of players and professional development of staff within the Women’s section.
- To ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with SuttonUnited FC and Governing Body Health & Safety Guidelines and the Welfare of all participants is paramount.
- To maintain relevant personal CPD to retain coaching and education qualifications and to develop your personal knowledge for the benefit of both yourself and Sutton United FC.

- To at all times represent Sutton United Football Club in a professional manner regarding to, dress, presentation, personal hygiene, attitude, conduct and professionalism.

QUALIFICATIONSEssential
- UEFA C Licence (working towards UEFA B Licence)
- Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate
- An accepted Enhanced FA DBS
Desirable
- UEFA ‘B’ Licence
- FA Youth Modules
EXPERIENCEEssential
- The jobholder should be an outstanding coach with a previous proven track record of working within or playing at Tier 5 or above of the Women’s Football Pyramid.
- An appreciation and experience of mentoring and developing female footballers
Desirable
- Activity planning and a sound knowledge of the workings of a Professional Football Club are desirable.
