Responsible for:

Support the Senior Women & Girls Officer in the design, planning, and delivery of a wide range of female programmes, for all abilities and Elite players across our region

Purpose of the role:

The postholder will deliver and manage a selection of our initiatives, programmes with some specifically focus on developing support for young female players. The post holder will also support the current development of our Regional Talent Club and College Programme.

The post holder will require a minimum FA Level 2 award in coaching football and support other coaches in their development to deliver a range of football activities. While also manging casual staff, booking venues, arranging sessions, liaising with partners, ensure the quality of all programmes, data collection from participants and ensuring outcomes and evaluation are met for each programme area. The postholder will have a passion for women and girls’ football and have a key motivation in inspiring and driving participation for girls across the city.

Key Performance Indicators

  • To widen our range of programmes and increase girl’s participation across Yorkshire.

  • Deliver programmes in line with all training, guidance, and materials in its entirety.


General Responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the FA, EFL Trust, Network Rail, Schools, programme participants and other stakeholders, and maintain positive relationship with them.

  • Work closely with the Senior Women & Girl’s Officer, Development Executive, and project staff from all LU Foundation area of work.

  • To ensure all key performance indicators (KPI’s) are agreed for individual programmes and that these are achieved.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality programmes in line with our Women & Girl’s strategic plan

  • To assist with and develop the current participation programmes that are in place helping drive engagement for all women and girls’ programmes

  • To drive the organisation and delivery of girls after school provision to help meet KPIS set specific for each programme area

  • The postholder will help assist with the female education programme from a delivery and practical capacity.

  • The postholder will integrate into the Girls Academy (RTC) to support and assist with the daily operation of the centre to help meet the programme requirements.


Role Specific Responsibilities

  • To set up Female based Development Centres in Yorkshire and empower young females to learn and enjoy football which meet specific targets and performance objectives.

  • To provide girls across the city with opportunities to access our female pathway whilst being a driving force to create new initiatives to do so.

  • Work with individuals, communities, community grassroots and schools in a planned way to promote the aims and objectives of the programme.

  • Support other programmes within the Leeds United Foundation


Operational/Delivery

  • Plan, deliver and manage the Wildcats and Schools programme, including venues, equipment, targeted recruitment, ensuring KPI’s are achieved and reported to stakeholders

  • Create strong partnerships with partners and other community organisations to ensure the provision of our delivery, and that provision aligns with local, regional, and national initiatives

  • Monitor and evaluate all elements of the programme, ensuring data is up to date and accurate.

  • Expand participation in football initiatives that improves the physical and emotional health and wellbeing and quality of life, therefore achieving healthier outcomes for the City of Leeds Community.


Health and Safety

  • Ensure that all health and safety procedures are in place for activities and that risk assessments are completed for specific programmes.

  • Ensure that staff on the women and girls programmes are fully supported in understanding the health and safety requirements of the women and girls programmes.

  • Ensure that appropriate insurance is in place for all type of programmes.


Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Commission programme evaluation reports as appropriate

  • Make use of questionnaires and impact tools

  • Use of VIEWS online monitoring and evaluation system
