PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Walking Football Coordinator to join our team at Nottingham Forest Community Trust. In this role, you will lead and manage our Walking Football programme, ensuring it is engaging, inclusive, and meets high-quality standards.
As a coordinator, you will play a vital part in promoting health and wellbeing in the community through sport, building positive relationships with participants, and ensuring all activities are delivered safely and effectively. KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the delivery of Trust’s Walking Football programme, maximising session attendance.
- Ensure that the Walking Football programme is structured and high quality, meeting any agreed performance objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the Walking Football programme administration.
- Ensure any match kit and delivery kit is ready and available for each match and session where appropriate.
- Drive the Trust minibus to and from away fixtures and tournaments where necessary.
- Ensure that the Walking Football programmes is fully compliant with the latest safeguarding, health and safety and data protection legislation.
- Be a positive role model and engage people of all abilities and backgrounds in positive activities.
- Support and maintain effective positive working relationships with stakeholders and partner organisations.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE - ESSENTIAL
- Experience of Walking Football and coordinating programmes in community settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Full, UK driving license, ideally class D1.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
