The Department

Based within our new, world-class High-Performance Centre at our Bodymoor Heath Training Ground, our First Team Scouting Department adopts a holistic approach to player identification and assessment that encapsulates both traditional and modern scouting methodologies in order to ensure that we are at the forefront of any potential recruitment opportunity. We are relentless in our desire to compile and analyse as much relevant information about prospective transfer targets as possible with the aim of supporting the club achieve its overarching objectives.

The Role

We are looking for a Video Scout to work within our First Team Recruitment Department. The role will be predominantly home-based, although some occasional working at Bodymoor Heath Training Ground and travel to matches may be required.
Reporting into the Head of Scouting Operations, you will identify, review, report on and monitor target teams and players through video to support the club’s overarching recruitment strategy. These posts will help to assess players who may be of interest, and effectively utilise available data in order to make holistic and evidence-based recommendations regarding potential target players.

The Person

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of working in either a scouting, coaching or analysis role at a professional football club. Previous Scouting experience in a Championship level or above Club would be ideal. You should be IT literate and have experience of using scouting systems such as ISF and Wyscout, or the ability to master them in a short period of time. As this role will be based remotely, you will need a strong work ethic along with the ability and self-motivation to work independently and remotely.
