Job Summary

The position will involve working irregular hours (e.g. evenings/Saturdays/Sundays/ Bank Holidays) so a flexible candidate is sought.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting directly to the Chief Scout, in collaboration with the scouting, data and analysis departments. The role is to form a crucial part of the club’s recruitment strategy by targeting teams and players through video reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary focus will be identifying younger talents with help from the Analysis and Data departments to filter players.
- Complete video scouting projects on leagues and nations which are not regularly covered in a live capacity. Taking ownership of such projects to make sure key findings are communicated to key recruitment personnel.
- Assist both the First Team and Academy recruitment departments.
- Undertake due diligence on potential players and retain key information to be used when constructing player profiles.
- Maintain a good understanding of THFC players across age groups to recognise the level of talent required.
- Attend department and recruitment meetings when requested.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with key personnel within the recruitment department.
- Any ad hoc duties as requested by management.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience of working in a scouting capacity at a professional football club.
- FA Level 2 in Talent ID qualification or equivalent is desirable.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of professional football, with the ability to identify key attributes in line with THFC’s philosophy.
- Knowledge of the GBE points criteria and post Brexit impact on youth recruitment.
- Strong work ethic and passion for scouting with the self-motivation to work independently and remotely.
- IT literate with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a modern scouting framework.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines when requested.
- Confident interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant software such as ISF Scout7, Hudl and Wyscout.
- Knowledge of computer productivity programmes such as Tableau, Excel, Numbers and Keynote.
