Hours of Work Part Time: Circa 8 hours per week plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties.

Club Overview

Founded in 1883, Bristol Rovers Football Club is the oldest professional football club in Bristol, England. The club's official nickname is "The Pirates", reflecting the maritime history of Bristol.
In February 2015 Bristol Rovers were acquired by the eminent Jordanian Al-Qadi family and as part of the deal Mr Wael AlQadi became President of the club. On 3 August 2023 Kuwaiti businessman Hussain AlSaeed bought a controlling 55% share in the football club, thus becoming chairman. The club has then embarked on an extensive project including new management team, the building of a new stand and other ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive video scouting and analysis to support the player identification and assessment process
• Generate scouting reports on potential target players
• Create detailed videos on target players
• Collaborate with the Recruitment team on the development and application of data analytics
• Work in collaboration with the Recruitment team to ensure efficient market coverage

Required, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Experience working within professional football in a Scouting role or similar
• Knowledge of domestic and international markets
• Demonstrable Tactical/Technical football knowledge and understanding
• Completed or working towards a FA Talent Identification qualification is desirable
• Technical Skills
• Proficient in the use of industry leading video analysis tools such as Wyscout, Statsbomb, Sportscode.
• Video Editing skills
• Experience of applying data to support player identification and assessment process
• An awareness of and ability to deliver through various digital presentation methods
