Job Description

Due to continued growth and expansion of new services we are looking for A-players who want the opportunity to grow, learn new skills, change lives and be an integral part of a fast growing company with a bright future.

Soccer Assist is a scholarship agency that supports student-athletes in securing soccer scholarships at American universities, and the Soccer Assist Academy is a 2-year full-time football and education programme based in Milton Keynes. Students study towards their Level 3 Sports Extended Diploma, alongside playing regular high-level football. Our mission is to become a full service soccer agency that runs academies, secures scholarships, and works with pro athletes.

We’re looking for someone who is a team player, organised and has the ability to learn quickly. Your eye for detail and organisational skills are important to ensure the quality of service we’re delivering to our clients and student-athletes is to a high standard. You must also possess the ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously, without compromising on the quality. We need someone who will embody the Soccer Assist ethos with a strong passion for helping others.

Within the world of football, we’d like to think we’re one of the better companies to work for and we believe we’re going to revolutionise the experience and process for our clients and student-athletes.

Mission for the Video/Performance Analyst:

To support the scholarship and academy team by recording events and games, and provide relevant key performance information to athletes and coaches during and after performance. You will also be expected to edit and create individual highlight reels, and analyse opposition strengths and weaknesses too.

That being said, the role is not all sunshine and roses – there is some good news and some bad news.

Let’s start with the bad news:

  • This is a full time role that requires you to manage multiple projects, work towards deadlines and maintain a high level of quality. You will need to be comfortable taking ownership, using your own initiative and managing your time effectively.

  • Your success in the role will be measured based on clear metrics that you will be made aware of if you join us, but you’ll be given the support of the management staff to meet targets. This can mean working long hours from time to time as you may have periods where you’re dealing with multiple deadlines that require your attention. There will be times when you’re under pressure to perform, so you’ll need to be prepared for this.

Now for the good stuff:

  • This role would require you to be at our Academy site in Milton Keynes for the majority of your working week, with some time working from home too. You will also be required to travel to games and events outside of Milton Keynes.

  • As a company we like our people to take ownership of their part of the business and as you progress in your role you will be given more flexibility and autonomy over your work schedule.

You’ll get to work on exciting projects we deliver, which presents excellent opportunities for travel throughout the UK and abroad with our tours and experiences.

  • You won’t be alone in this role. You will be joining a team of experienced professionals who will help and support you throughout your time to ensure you grow and achieve your potential.

  • As our business grows we want our people to grow too, so there will be opportunities to progress in your career within the company. You can go on to build and manage your team or suggest new ideas and have autonomy to bring it to life.

  • We work hard on the pitch and enjoy ourselves off the pitch! As a team we regularly organise meals, activities and get togethers to create those lasting memories.
