Hayes and Yeading Football Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced U12 Academy Manager to oversee the development and progression of young players in our academy program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing training sessions and coordinating participation in Junior Premier League (JPL) games on Saturdays. Training sessions will take place on Wednesdays from 6 pm to 7:20 pm and Fridays from 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the U12 academy team, providing coaching and guidance to players in their skill development, tactical understanding, and overall footballing abilities.

  • Plan and deliver structured and age-appropriate training sessions that focus on individual player development and team dynamics.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging players to develop good sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.

  • Evaluate player performance and progress, providing regular feedback and implementing appropriate training strategies to enhance their development.

  • Work closely with the club's technical staff to align coaching methodologies and ensure a consistent approach throughout the academy.

  • Collaborate with the U12 team coaches to coordinate training schedules, establish training objectives, and monitor player attendance and engagement.

  • Organize and manage participation in JPL games on Saturdays, including player selection, game preparation, and post-match analysis.

  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with players, parents, and club officials, providing regular updates on training schedules, game fixtures, and any other relevant information.

  • Monitor and maintain the welfare and safety of all players, adhering to the club's safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Act as a positive role model for players, promoting a strong work ethic, dedication, and a passion for the game.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous coaching experience, preferably in youth football, with a focus on player development.

  • FA Level 2 coaching qualification (or higher) is essential.

  • Strong knowledge of age-specific coaching methodologies, techniques, and tactics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with players, parents, and club officials.

  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities, with the capability to manage and coordinate a team of coaches.

  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment for young players.

  • Availability to commit to regular Wednesday (6 pm - 7:20 pm) and Friday (7 pm - 8:30 pm) training sessions and Saturday JPL games.

  • Valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) or willingness to undergo one.
