Your day-to-day
- Developing and communicating our digital platform strategy which supports our overall commercial goals, placing our supporters at its heart.
- Developing and maintaining a product roadmap that outlines the timeline and priorities for feature development.
- Working with stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and translate those requirements into technical specifications.
- Collaborating with our Product Development Managers and Engineering teams to ensure that the platform strategy is being implemented correctly.
- Managing the product development process using agile methodologies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint demos.
- Defining and tracking key product metrics to measure the success of the product and make data-driven decisions.
- Managing a team of Product Development Managers.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, using data and insights to identify opportunities and risks.
What we are looking for
- Experience of Agile methodologies and who has an IT, computer science or software engineering degree, or the equivalent work experience.
- Experience working in a software development role and moved on to product development (Desirable).
- Previously worked in digital media environment.
- A strong people manager with experience of leading a small team.
- An understanding of web technologies, software stacks and microservice architectures.
- A starter finisher who can deliver projects to tight timelines and set budgets.
- Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering, creating statements of work, and managing budgets and schedules.
- Skilled in identifying risks and analysing mitigation options.
- Adept at using agile methodology to lead teams through a project.
- A strong communicator who can present clearly to senior stakeholders and translate technical requirements in a clear and concise way.
- Ability to clearly articulate and a project vision and customer journeys.
