New start up Private Academy in Jeddah,  Saudi Arabia are recruiting for a Technical Director for their youth football academy. This role will be crucial role in managing the operations, development, football methodology planning and success of the academy, with a focus on providing a nurturing and competitive environment for young players to thrive and reach their full potential.

The individual would need to have experience within  grassroots/academy football environment and have had knowledge of  both on field and off field excellence.

The job description and responsibilities of a youth football academy general manager typically include the following:

1. Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing the strategic direction and goals of the academy, considering the long-term development of the players, coaching staff, and overall program.
2. Operations Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the academy, including scheduling training sessions, organizing matches, managing facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
3. Budgeting and Financial Management: Managing the academy's budget, financial resources, and fundraising efforts to ensure the financial sustainability of the program.
4. Player Development: Collaborating with coaches and staff to create a player development program that focuses on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game, ensuring the holistic growth of the players. implementing best in class methodologies.
5. Staff Management: Hiring, training, and supervising coaching and support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality coaching and support services.
6. Partnership and Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, such as professional clubs, schools, sponsors, and community organizations, to foster collaboration, support, and opportunities for the academy.
7. Marketing and Promotion: Developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to raise awareness of the academy, attract talented players, and engage with the
local community.
8. Compliance and Governance: Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and governing body requirements, as well as maintaining good governance practices within the academy.
9. Performance Evaluation and Reporting: Monitoring and evaluating the performance and progress of the academy, regularly reporting to the board or senior management, and making recommendations for improvement and growth.

 

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) metrics
1. Financial Performance Metrics:
- Revenue Generation: Track the academy's revenue sources, such as player fees, sponsorships, grants, and fundraising activities. Monitor the growth of revenue over time.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control expenses to ensure that they are within budget limits and sustainable for the academy's operations.
- Return on Investment: Assess the financial returns and benefits generated by the academy, such as player transfers, sponsorships, and partnerships.

2. Player Retention Metrics:
- Retention Rate: Measure the percentage of players who continue their participation in the academy over a specific period. A higher retention rate indicates player satisfaction and loyalty  to the program.

3. Competitions and Achievements Metrics:
- Tournament Performance: Track the performance of academy teams in competitions and tournaments, including the number of titles won, progress in tournaments, and overall rankings.
- Player Awards and Recognition: Monitor the number of individual player awards, such as player of the year, top scorer, or MVP (Most Valuable Player) in competitions.
- Progression to Higher Levels: Monitor the number of players who progress to higher levels of competition, such as representing national teams, signing with professional clubs, or earning college scholarships.

4. Stakeholder Satisfaction Metrics:
- Player and Parent Surveys: Conduct regular surveys to assess the satisfaction levels of players and their parents regarding the academy's services, coaching quality, facilities, and overall experience.- Coach and Staff Feedback: Collect feedback from coaches and staff members to evaluate their satisfaction levels, professional development, and job satisfaction.

5. Community Engagement Metrics:
- Community Events: Measure the number of community events or outreach programs organized by the academy and the level of participation from the local community.
- Partnerships: Track the number and quality of partnerships established with local organizations, schools, professional clubs, or other relevant stakeholders.

6. Graduates' Success Metrics:
- Player Progression: Monitor the number of academy graduates who successfully progress to professional clubs, national teams, or college scholarships.
- Professional Contracts: Track the number of academy graduates who sign professional contracts with reputable clubs.
