The below job description outlines the expected roles of the Technical Director for Regional Sports Football Academy
& Football Club. Please be aware that this is not an exhaustive list and the Academy Director may make any
additional reasonable requests at any time.

Head Office Location: Al Bandar, Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Academy Branches: 4 (currently 2 in Abu Dhabi 2 in Dubai)
Academy Players: 750+
Staff: Full time 8 Part time 20+
Position: Reporting directly to Academy Director & Managing Director with all coaches (full time + part
time) reporting directly into TD role

Roles: -
Goal: to develop the academy into the leading football academy in the region, in all aspects such as being a
feeder academy for the pro clubs in the region, developing players, and contributing to the development of
the social side and soft skills of the players and their families.

Strategy: To create and continuously work on a strategy for the day to day academy operations as well as
growth plans into new venues and schools for the season

Syllabus: To develop the academy syllabus and adapt it accordingly throughout the season. Managing all staff
to make sure they are in line with both the Academy Philosophy and Syllabus (following themes, objectives,
structure and technical emphasis)

Session plans: deliver session plans for every branch, age group, level to all full-time and part-time coaches.
This can be done on a monthly or weekly basis in advance.

Pitch plan: define a pitch plan for all the venues and assign the coaches with the right size of pitch

Equipment: ensuring that staff are submitting regular equipment inventory and ensuring that every branch,
age group has all the necessary equipment to perform their duties at the highest level.

Coaches Recruitment: recruitment and training of full-time and part-time staff as and when required.

CPD: organizing CPD sessions a minimum of once per month. Both theory and practical on different topics
throughout the season.

Full-Time Staff: Managing a team of coaches to ensure company goals are being managed and targets being
met. This includes making weekly schedules for staff depending on where they are needed to support in
taster sessions / marketing / events / other admin work depending on workloads and academy priorities.
Coaches should submit weekly session plans at the start of the week for review and summary reports of
tasks assigned to them at the end of each week

Part Time Staff: Managing a team of part time coaches to ensure they are attending their sessions,
submitting session plans and following the academy syllabus whilst adhering to the academy philosophy and
coaches code of conduct.

Operations: Spending equal time across different venues to ensure consistency and academy standards are
being met throughout the season. Reviewing performance of coaches and assisting junior coaches.

First Team (Club): managing the first team with a pool of coaches with the goal of competing in the league
and developing individual players with high potential for sale to bigger clubs.

Coaching: Involved regularly on the pitch especially with development and foundation coaches to help
develop junior coaches and keep the high academy standards. Cover up for coaches for who are sick / unable
to attend sessions both in Abu Dhabi in Dubai.

Customer satisfaction: Part of Regional Sports philosophy is always going the extra mile for our customers
both on and off the pitch. Having a good relationship with players and parents to ensure to maintain a
maximum level of player retention and customer satisfaction. TD will be responsible for introducing new
effective initiatives to achieve this.

Customer retention: Putting in measures and ensuring that the delivery and standards of the academy are
resulting in a 90% retention of players from season to season.

Reporting:
- Weekly report highlighting key projects / achievements / issues / concerns / local & international camps
- Monthly report highlighting academy KPIs, number of kids, major events / issues concerns
- Term report: overview of term and changes / improvements recommended for upcoming term /season
- Staff performance reports as agreed with Academy Director
- Maintain a regular tracking sheet of everything assigned to work on
- Receive and review sample of all player reports at end of each term

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership to all areas through operational management, budget management and strategic planning.
- Guiding the development of the academy’s playing philosophy, coaching philosophy and coaching curriculum.
- Drawing up the Academy Performance Plan.
- Work in conjunction with academy staff to ensure that the Academy Performance Plan strategy is
- efficiently and effectively implemented.
- Responsible for assisting the club in the potential transfers of academy players. • Ensure academy operations align with club’s overall strategy and vision.
- Lead on academy matters during technical board meetings.
- Provide individual development action plans for all full-time staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, across the academy footballing landscape.
- Meeting with the Academy director to see Whether the academy has met the performance targets set out in the Academy Performance Plan.
- Actions to be taken by the club if the academy has not met the performance targets set.
- Maintain positive relationships with both academy and first-team staff, as well as players and parents within the academy’s structures and age groups.
- To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all academy players and staff, promoting their wellbeing whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
- Oversee the development of strong relationships with other football clubs, nationally and locally.
- To establish a sustainable system and approach to coach and player development.
- Regular meetings about the academy budget and meet financial goals.
- Undertake self-development to ensure knowledge in relation to all aspect of coaching and coach development is up to date and forward thinking.
- Complete weekly ,monthly, coach education with all staff and all undertake the continued professional development required of them by the FA Guidelines.

- Willingness to attend training courses to enhance own professional development.

Personal Specification:
- An up-to-date UEFA A License.
- An up-to-date FA Youth Award.
- Full DBS clearance – safeguarding and protecting children.
- Be able to provide two satisfactory references prior to employment.
- Driving license

Desirable Criteria:
- A coaching / teaching / sports science-related degree.
- Prior experience of working within an academy in the UAE.
- Experience of leading a high-performance environment.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and welfare requirements.
- Proven track record of working within a high-performance environment.
- Strong identification with long-term player development and player pathways from youth to
- professional level.

Package
- Wage: 15,000 AED - 20,000 AED
- Contract: 1 year (12 months)
- Flights: 1 return flight to home country per year.
