As part of a new era for Maldives Football and part of the Maldives Football Association Strategic Football Development Vision 2028, we are seeking an experienced and suitably Qualified Goalkeeping Coach. Reporting to the National Team Head Coach & Head of Goalkeeping, the post involves leading a specialised dedicated team who will provide a comprehensive bespoke development and performance program for Goalkeepers at this level.

Responsibilities:

As part of the FAM Strategic Football Development Plan 2028 and its commitment to Elite Player Development and International Teams. Take responsibility for the U23’s, Senior Men’s National Team Goalkeepers and expanded pool of Goalkeepers.

Support a multi-disciplinary program for Goalkeepers at the U23 & Senior National Team.

Support the management of the coaching, support team and Goalkeepers, operating to the best practice and the Maldives DNA principles, ensuring successful tournaments and campaigns, along with close collaboration with Clubs to maximize the Goalkeeper’s ongoing development in order to achieve a Winning Maldives.

Qualifications:

Experience of elite Goalkeeping development at the U23 & Senior Men’s National Team level. Experiencing of leading a multi-disciplinary program for Goalkeepers at U23’s, Senior National Team level, operating to best performance practice. The successful candidates will also possess the following:
• Hold a minimum of AFC ‘A’ Diploma qualification outfield or equivalent.
• Hold the AFC ‘A’ Diploma in Goalkeeping or working towards it.
• Experience at working at International level with U23’s and National Teams.
• 6 Years’ experience in Elite or International Football.
• 6 Years’ experience of coaching in the Professional Game.
• Experience in a Coaching Leadership role.
• Experience of managing goalkeepers during the transition phase into Senior and or International Football.
• An interest in Goalkeeping Coach Education
• Have an understanding of Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) principles.
• The ability to work as a team member and the ability to work independently.
• A modern, progressive approach to Coaching and Learning.
• Excellent communication skills.
