Description

Forming part of the football operation at WWFC, the role will oversee, manage and develop the First Team kit, equipment and logistical processes, workflows and staff on a daily basis, including management, operation and compliance of all kit, equipment and logistical operations within the Training Ground.

Alongside the First Team Kit & Equipment Manager, Laundry Assistant and other kit staff, the role will ensure a high standard of service and care to First Team staff and players, contributing to the overall success of the football operation at WWFC.

KIT & EQUIPMENT
• To oversee, direct and manage the Club’s First Team Kit, Equipment and Logistics processes and workflows including but not limited to;
• (a) Manage the work programme of both the First Team Kit & Equipment Manager and Laundry Assistant, ensuring a high standard of service and care to all First Team football staff and players from the team;
• (b) To liaise with First Team football staff regarding the procurement of kit and equipment requirements for First Team matchdays and training sessions on an ongoing basis;
• (c) To purchase, record and monitor stock levels of training and match kit & equipment, including regular stock checks, leading on the administration of the annual teamwear and equipment order(s) from the Club’s kit suppliers at the direction of the Club’s retail team and senior football staff; and
• (d) To attend all First Team fixtures both home and away throughout the football season, including tours and tournaments, leading on the kit, equipment and logistics service provided to all players and football staff in conjunction with the First Team Kit & Equipment Manager;
• (e) Regular liaison with the Academy Head of Operations and Academy Kit Coordinator to ensure collaboration and consistency on kit and equipment matters within the Academy and First Team player groups and staff.
TRAINING GROUND LOGISTICS
• To develop the Club’s health, safety and club vehicle policies and processes at the Club’s Training Ground for the Kit Van and Football Pool Car (and any other football logistics vehicles as required), including but not limited to ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, risk assessments, managing servicing requirements and keeping records/booking in of mileage, tax, insurance, cleaning and repairs as necessary;
Acting as a primary keyholder for the site, maintaining a schedule of records of all laundry machine maintenance, cleaning and servicing requirements at the Club’s Training Ground, liaising with club partners and external organisations to ensure a high standard of logistical support to all at the Training Ground;
• Manage and deliver all merchandise and apparel signing days/initiatives in collaboration with the Club’s Commercial Team and wider business departments.
OTHER
• Develop and implement innovative methods, systems and workflows within people support at the Club’s Training Ground;
• Ensure the Club receives regular staff and player feedback on kit, equipment and logistical experiences so that they feel genuinely heard and we create insights that help us improve the experience;
• Any other duties that may arise from time to time and fall within the scope of kit, equipment and logistics as directed by senior football staff.
