Description

Saints Foundation bring Southampton FC to the heart of the community, using the power of the club and our passionate team to help fulfill individual potential and make Southampton a better place to live for all.

If you’re passionate about the same things we are, we’d love to hear from you!

Your next role

In this project-based role you will lead the research and application process to fund our key project priorities. You will lead the development of high-quality applications to generate income from trusts, foundations and statutory grants to fund innovative new work and sustain existing projects in order to provide stable long-term security.

You’ll need to collaborate across the projects team to develop compelling cases for support, as well as working closely with fundraising colleagues to ensure funders are effectively stewarded.  Working closely with the Fundraising Manager you’ll actively explore the current grants landscape to identify prospective funders for projects, at a local, regional and national level, whilst developing a tracking database.

You’ll also work with the Fundraising & Partnerships teams to play an active part in all Saints Foundation’s fundraising activity. Contributing to team meetings and supporting fundraising events and initiatives.

What you’ll bring to our team

We want all our colleagues to bring with them their individual differences, we welcome your unique point of view and dynamic ideas, it’s what allows us to keep on being our best selves. Although we’re ideally looking to appoint a Senior Executive we would also be willing to consider applications from more junior candidates with the potential for development.

Person Specification:

  • Good experience within a grant fundraising role, ideally with a demonstratable track record of securing five figure grants.

  • Demonstratable experience of writing compelling cases for support with an ability to match cases for support, and projects, to grant funders.

  • Experience of building relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • First-class writing skills – to produce the highest quality applications and cases for support.

  • Ability to work on own, or as part of a team, in an agile and fast paced fundraising environment.

  • Ability to project manage the application process, outlining clear timelines for completion, whilst collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What we can do for you

Giving you the right balance in your life is important to us, and our benefits are designed to complement this – from 2 free match tickets for every home league game, free breakfast and afternoon snacks on site, discounts at local shops and restaurants, an Employee Assistance Programme and mental health first aiders for when things get tough, to specialist support with professional development and access to a world of internal and external training courses and professional qualifications.
