Job PurposeThe Senior Education, Training & Employability Coordinator – SEND Specialist will support the delivery of the GAME ON programme, along with other Foundation Employability programmes for young people aged 16-25 years old. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the recruitment of young people for the programme, liaising with key stakeholders, and working closely with participants and ETE staff to provide employability coaching and develop soft skills in teamwork, leadership, enterprise, and problem-solving. The postholder will support the progression of participants into further education, training, or employment and will work collaboratively with all colleagues of the Foundation to ensure the delivery and processes meet the needs of our participants. The role will work closely with all of our young people participating in GAME ON but with a particular focus on supporting young learners with SEND and leading on SEND specific programmes. The successful candidate will manage the Education, Training and Employability Officer.
Job Summary

- Support recruitment of young people for GAME ON and our other Employment delivery initiatives including events, short courses and trips
- Identify and secure employability opportunities for participants through networking with external organisations and partners
- Provide employability coaching and support participants in their progression into further education, training, or employment
- Work closely with the ETE team to define employability provisions aligned with young people's needs, demographics, contractual requirements, and budgets
- Ensure processes and delivery meet the needs of participants by collaborating with all colleagues of the Foundation
- Leading on SEND, including Down’s Syndrome specific programmes
- Ensuring that progress of pupils with SEND improves relative to those without SEND
- Supporting staff in understanding the needs of SEND learners and learners with Down syndrome by identifying and adopting the most effective teaching practices for pupils
- Identifying resources to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and Down’s Syndrome, advising the Foundation on priorities for expenditure
- Maintain good working relationships with CPFC, CPFC Academy, parents/carers/employers/referrers, and stakeholders
- Act on referrals through the Foundation referral process to identify suitable participants for ETE initiatives
- Record, analyse, and disseminate key project information as appropriate
- Collaborate with staff using verbal and written reports to ensure accurate and timely progress reviews and communication updates are shared with the multi-disciplinary team, parents, and carers
- Ensure all work is in line with the Policies and guidelines/procedures as adopted and adhered to by the Foundation
- Provide other reasonable duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the Senior Management Team of the Foundation
Job RequirementsEssentialKnowledge
- Proven track record of working effectively with SEND learners on a 1-2-1 basis and in a group learning environment
- Knowledge of the barriers faced by young people today
- Knowledge of safeguarding reporting processes and procedures
- Preparing to Teach Level 4 (or working towards this) or previous experience in a training role
Experience
- Experience of working with young people who are or are at risk of being Not in Education, Training or Employment or ‘hard to reach’
- Experience of delivering skill development workshops and sessions to young people
- Must have excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience of monitoring learner progress using standard database systems
- Experience of evaluating programmes, analysing qualitative and quantitative data.
