Job Title: Security and Matchday Safety Administrator

Department: Security and Matchday Safety Department

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (with flexibility to work during evenings and weekends, including matchdays)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Attractive Remuneration Package depending on experience

Location: Villa Park and Bodymoor Heath Training Ground

  1. The Role


We have an exciting opportunity for a Security and Matchday Safety Administrator to join our team. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of matchday and non-matchday activities by providing efficient, accurate, and timely administrative support to the Security and Matchday Safety team.

As the Security and Matchday Safety Administrator, you will liaise with various departments across the Club and assist the Matchday Staffing Co-ordinators with tasks.  You will oversee access pass administration, accreditation workflows, and the preparation of matchday materials, such as sign-in sheets and manager sheets.

The role also involves managing staff uniforms and equipment, conducting regular audits, and liaising with suppliers to ensure all items are accounted for. Additional responsibilities include maintaining payroll data confidentiality, assisting with staff rotas, and tracking matchday costs through detailed record-keeping.

This dynamic and varied role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams to support the delivery of safe and efficient matchday operations.

  1. The Person


You must have proven administration experience in an office environment as well as be a proficient user of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. You will also need to be able to deliver exceptional customer service.

This is a varied role which will require you to be organised with exceptional attention to detail. You will need to have clear, concise and accurate verbal and written communication skills and be able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience of working within a Security and/or Health and Safety role within the events or sports sector would be ideal.

You must also be available to work flexibly as this role will require you to work matchdays, evenings and weekends.
