About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Scout to assist with the implementation of and delivery of the Club’s talent identification process specifically focussing on non-league and London based grassroots young players.
The role will be focussed on enhancing the Club’s knowledge of grassroots players in London who we feel would have the potential to reach our high standards. The identification of non-League youth and emerging talent players will also be critical to the success of this role.
Building great relationships with local coaches, clubs and private academies to ensure Newcastle United have access to scouting opportunities you will keep up to date with local games at grass roots, county and district levels.
Maintaining and building knowledge and visibility of non-league talent you will help Newcastle United identify the best talent available.
Your impact
You will hold FA Talent ID Level 2 and will possess excellent knowledge of football game models, playing styles and profiles with significant experience of the technical, tactical, physical and psychological traits that are required to transition into the professional game.
Experience of a data based approach to recruitment and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies to deliver the best possible outputs are critical.
Previous experience of working in an elite footballing environment as an analyst would be advantageous but not essential.
