Description

Lincoln City Foundation are looking for an inspiring Schools Manager to oversee, enhance and grow their primary school delivery - including the Premier League Primary Stars programme.

In line with the Foundation and Premier League objectives the Schools Manager will:

  • Manage and develop our PE, school sport and physical activity, Premier League Primary Stars, and other additional related programmes in partner schools across Lincolnshire, to ensure they make a difference to young people.

  • Management of the budget for the Schools delivery programme, as well as securing and developing new and existing schools contracts, supporting sustainable growth and financial viability.

  • Develop strategies and processes with other leaders/managers to achieve positive outcomes, supporting the Head of Sport & Physical Activity to contribute and achieve the strategic objectives of the department and Foundation.


Key Responsibilities

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the department and its programmes/projects; to plan and coordinate delivery to the highest standard, at times stepping in to coaching to ensure consistency and resilience. Communicating short and long-term resource needs to the Head of Sport & Physical Activity.

  • To manage the implementation of the Premier League Primary Stars programme, meeting all prerequisites of the Premier League Charitable Fund grant conditions.

  • Develop the PE, school sport and physical activity provision Foundation staff deliver across our partner schools. This includes aiding primary schools with utilising their PE and Sport Premium.

  • Demonstrate high personal standards of delivery, modelling excellent teaching and coaching across all programme areas to Foundation staff.

  • To develop strong relationships between Lincoln City Foundation stakeholders; Lincoln City Football Club, partner schools, partner federations/trusts, Premier League, English Football League Trust, Lincolnshire FA, local School Games Organisers, School Sport & Physical Activity Network, County Sports Partnership Network, and local authorities.

  • Preparation and management of the annual budget and providing monthly variance analysis to the Head of Sport & Physical Activity and Senior Leadership Team.

  • Completion of the monthly rolling-reforecast

  • To develop positive working relationships with schools and ensure the Foundation secures existing and new contracts each year.

  • Support the recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training of the delivery workforce – which builds skills and confidence to deliver to a consistently excellent high standard.

  • Maintaining awareness of the funding landscape across PE, sport, and physical including opportunities to bid for funds.

  • Update CRM system with key information.

  • Actively seek relevant and contemporary research and developments in your field

  • Support the implementation and adherence of staff to Lincoln City’s joint safeguarding policies and procedures, to ensure participants and their families, staff and volunteers are protected and can participate in a safe environment, undertaking relevant training on a continuous basis.

  • Ensure health and safety and risk assessment procedures are adhered to.

  • Report on programme KPIs to provide accurate data to the Head of Sport & Physical Activity and/or Senior Leadership Team, monitoring programme process and impact.

  • Report, record and resolve any issues with the Head of Sport & Physical Activity.

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to provide engaging and celebratory content for promotional purposes.

  • Represent the Foundation and act as an ambassador for Sport and Physical Activity in Education in Lincolnshire.
