We have an exciting opportunity available for an individual to join Hull City Football Club as a Retail Team Leader, for our brand-new store opening soon in York.

As part of the stores management team, our Team Leader role will work closely with our Store Manager to drive the store team and store performance to ensure that we consistently deliver excellent customer service. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of something new which will contribute to the growth of our Club

We are really excited to start our new journey in York and are looking for someone with proven leadership and commercial experience to join our growing team.

Your key responsibilities

• Support Store Manager to deliver retail start up plan and strategy
• Support with induction of new colleagues
• Support Store Manager with team management and employee performance reviews
• Management of store opening and closing hours
• Effectively manage retail stock within store
• Undertake stocktakes as required
• A good understanding of how to review sales data and performance
• Work closely with Store Manager to ensure all objectives and targets are met
• Lead the team in Store Managers absence
• Liaise with other internal departments when required
• Some flexibility to travel will be required on occasion

What are we looking for?

• Cash Handling / Management Experience (Required)
• Experience in Supervisor / Team Leader / Assistant Manager Role (Required)
• Clothing / Sports Retail Experience (Desired)

Other Expectations

• Weekend Working Required (Rota Basis)
• Flexible approach to shift patterns depending on local events
• Confident decision maker comfortable working as part of a team

Eligibility for Employment in the UK
In accordance with current legislative requirements the successful applicant must produce documentary verification of their eligibility to work in the UK and will not be allowed to start work until this has been received.
