York City FC has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual with previous relevant retail experience, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Based in the Club Shop at The LNER Community Stadium, the successful candidate will be required to play a customer-facing role in welcoming supporters to the Club Shop, managing transactions, monitoring stock levels, and fulfilling online orders. The vacancy is a part-time role at least one day during the week which will also include matchdays (evenings and Saturdays) when the first team are playing at home.
What does the job entail?
• Be the first point of contact for all supporters, welcoming them to the Club Shop
• Manage transactions including cash and card payments
• Monitor stock levels
• Fulfil online orders
• Dealing with returns and exchanges
• Working closely with the club’s Management to identify and report sales trends and opportunities
• Handle any general supporter queries
• Ensure the Club Shop remains a clean, tidy, and inviting space for supporters
