Your day-to-day
- Recruiting and training team members with the view of creating three strong sub verticals within the team focused on servicing the partnership development team, partner servicing team, and supporting new ventures.
• Managing the workload and setting objectives for the department which will cascade down to individual team members in view of harnessing and growing the professional development of each team member.
• Managing the sales processes from lead generation across geographies and categories, package valuation, sales materials preparation and design, coordination of package creations and company reporting.
• Working with internal stakeholders to utilise fan and audience insights within the category selection phase.
- Providing reports and strategic insight to senior decision makers with the aim of increasing partnership conversion rate.
• Responsible for the relationships with external data and insights agencies.
• Helping set up and then oversee the KPI mapping and objective setting of existing partnerships with a focus on ROI tracking.
• Providing recommendations of improvements to partner servicing team to gain better media valuation or return metrics on partnerships.
• Implementing process of tracking inventory usage and availability with the objective of driving scarcity in the portfolio.
• Leading on the development of new assets to be sold through market intelligence.
• Overseeing the sharing of commercial insights, while developing relationships with research and insights department in each team.
• Supporting Head of Commercial Ventures in scoping out new and innovative forms of revenue.
• Supporting football development team in mapping growth opportunities in geographies for the business vertical.
What we are looking for
- Proven track record of sales research with application to successful sales.
• Experience of working in a fast-paced sales environment.
• Able to create prospect dialogue around sales opportunities, from initial
outreach (Desirable).
- Strong understanding of sports industry.
• Good knowledge of sponsorship sales processes and key drivers.
• Sponsorship valuation methodologies (Desirable).
• Team player who will put team success over individual success.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience of team recruitment and line management.
• Strong research skills & strong organisational skills, with attention to detail.
• A willingness to learn and support team in all areas from administrative to strategic.
• Competence in Microsoft applications as well as CRM experience.
• Good understanding of brand dynamics and consumer trends.
