Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Procurement and Estates to execute and implement procurement strategies aligned with the club's goals and financial objectives.

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

  • Sourcing and purchasing a diverse range of products and services for the club and to achieve quality, delivery and cost targets through effective supplier management.

  • Onboarding of new vendors, assessing their suitability and compliance to be a supplier to the club.

  • Analyse spend data and identify areas of cost reduction.

  • Review and analyse requisitions from various departments, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements specific to the club's needs.

  • Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, including different departments within the club, to gather specific requirements and specifications for goods and services.

  • Monitor supplier performance closely, addressing any issues or concerns promptly to maintain the highest standards for the club.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project procurement needs and deadlines within the club.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement activities for the club.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of strong supplier relationships to optimise the club's supply chain.


Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Ideally qualified to at least CIPS Level 4.

  • Proven experience in procurement or a related role.

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to assess supplier capabilities and negotiate favourable terms specific to the club's needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, including different departments within the club, and suppliers.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic club environment.

  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
