Description

JOB TITLE: PMO Manager
DEPARTMENT: Strategy and Transformation
JOB FUNCTION: We are looking for a hands on PMO manager, who can help to design and instil best practice for projects at Chelsea, improving visibility and reporting to support the delivery of key cross-functional projects across the club.
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
LOCATION: Stamford Bridge, London
CONTRACT: Permanent: 35 hours, Monday - Friday

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

• Establish PMO function at Chelsea, defining best practice for how programmes and projects should be delivered across the club.
• Implement best practice across existing and new programmes and projects.
• Track progress and drive accountability of delivery of key programmes and projects.
• Create reports for leadership on progress and status of key programmes and projects.
• Run the ‘Monthly Execution Reporting’ process to provide the Executive team with visibility of organisational performance (KPIs and Project updates).
• Project manage projects when capacity is available.

HERE TO WIN (Measures of Performance):

• Establish PMO function for the business.
• Develop and implement programme and project management best-practice framework including standards, governance and tools.
• Develop programme and project progress reporting framework for Executive audience.
• Provide coaching and guidance to project managers and delivery resources, acting as a subject matter expert for programme and project management.
• Provide first line of challenge to project teams around compliance with project management framework, including required documentation and progress against plans.
• Take responsibility for project audits using the agreed assurance process, sharing lessons learned and key areas of interest across the club.
• Provide ad-hoc analytical support for project teams.

• Analytical skills and an aptitude for problem solving.
• Experience of managing a PMO function and delivering cross-functional projects.
• Experience of working with multiple projects at the same time.
• Solid understanding of PMO process and best practice programme and project delivery methods.
• Data analysis and report preparation experience.
• Open, flexible, and with an approachable manner that gains the respect of colleagues.
• Comfortable dealing with Senior stakeholders in written and verbal communications.
• Ability to navigate stakeholders with different priorities.
