We're looking to appoint a new Recruitment Player Analyst to join us at Barnsley Football Club. You will have a deep love of football with vast knowledge and enthusiasm for the game. In your role you will use video and data analysis to identify and monitor potential players of interest for the Club’s First Team.

You will be an independent decision maker, able to think critically and discuss tactical and technical details in depth and help to identify potential new players

Duties will include:

• Production of detailed written reports on recommended players using Wyscout and Hudl footage, referencing appropriate data points.


•  Analysis and interpretation of relevant metrics, including the Club’s in-house data system, to help identify and profile players.


• Updating the Department’s database to track and monitor players


• Attendance at matches to build knowledge and support the overall recruitment process.

Present and discuss findings with members of the Department and First Team coaching staff.

• Comfortable in analysing large datasets to improve our knowledge and understanding of players.


• An approachable team player who’s able to share and receive ideas and work seamlessly with others.
