Internship Title: Player Development and Data Analyst

As the Player Development and Data Analyst at Notts County Football Club Academy, you will have the opportunity to develop within an innovative Academy at a League Two Football Club, and have the opportunity to deliver our Player Development Strategy off the pitch through creative and engaging video and data analysis. Your main development opportunity will be to shape and mould the analytical feedback based on our PlayerProfiles, whilst understanding and sharing the data that supports Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) across the Foundation, Youth Development and Professional Development Phases.
Your development will be supported by the Head of Coach & Player Development through the form of your own individualised Development Action Plan (DAP), shaped to your own focus to better prepare you for a future in the football industry. Your day-to-day support in your role will be supported by the Assistant Youth Development Phase Coach & Academy Analyst (CIDS), who will lead the Analysis Department and Analysis Curriculum that underpins the development pathway across the Academy.
Key opportunities to contribute towards
- Have the opportunity to deliver our Player Development Strategy off the pitch through creative and engaging video and data analysis.
- Have the opportunity to deliver the operation of the Academy’s Analysis Provision across the Foundation, Youth Development and Professional Development Phases.
3.Understand and contribute to the updating of the Football Intelligence Platform system, if appropriate.
4.Contribute to player reviews to aid feedback, helping players develop further,whilst aiding players having ongoing and up to date ILPs.
5.To understand and take an active role in the safeguarding of all Academy players.
A full internship description and details of the interview process will be shared with those who are invited for interview. Interviews will be conducted in-person and will comprise of a presentation delivered to an interview panel, overseen by the Head of Coach & Player Development and other relevant Academy staff from across disciplines, including Safeguarding.

About The CandidateKnowledge and Experience1.Ongoing or completed relevant performance analysis qualification(s) at undergraduate or postgraduate level
2.Ongoing or completed relevant performance analysis qualification(s) from recognised sporting bodies
3.Has completed the FA Safeguarding Children (essential –
or personal commitment to complete the award)
4.Valid FA DBS or willing to undertake a DBS check before starting the role (essential)
5.Coaching experience (at any level or capacity) and/or football coaching qualification(s) (desirable)
