Description

Player Care Lead

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Player Care Lead to join our Professional Game Academy (PGA). This key position is focused on providing exceptional support to all PGA players, ensuring their wellbeing and development through comprehensive Player Care and Performance Lifestyle initiatives.

This is a full-time position and will require flexibility with working hours to meet demands of the role including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Education Individual Development Plan (EIDP) processes.



  • Manage and track Player Data in collaboration with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).



  • Develop and deliver our Lifestyle curriculum in partnership with external stakeholders.



  • Assist players and families utilising school release programs for training and matches.



  • Collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritise the wellbeing of all players and staff.



  • Monitor player behaviour in alignment with the Club’s Standards and Values.



  • Oversee the Transport and Travel policy for players within the PGA.



  • Facilitate player transitions and manage the Club's Retain and Reroute Strategy.



  • Offer guidance on non-football matters and implement mental and emotional wellbeing strategies.



  • Build relationships with parents and educate them on supporting their child's development.



  • Lead Parent Representative and Player Leadership groups across the PGA.



  • Attend training sessions and fixtures to support players and foster community.


What are we looking for from you?

  • Relevant experience in player care and/or performance lifestyle.



  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office



  • APDL qualification.

  • FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or equivalent.

  • FA DBS and Safeguarding Children Course.


Desirable Requirements:

  • PGCE, NQT, QTS, or QTLS qualification (or working towards).



  • Mentoring qualification.



  • Experience in youth or women's football.

  • Knowledge of The Football Association and Girls football pathways.
