The Department

Our Aston Villa Women's Football Team achieved huge success by gaining promotion to the Women's Super League in the 2019 / 2020 Season. Since this time, we have continued to invest, build and develop our team and have proudly cemented our place in the top flight of women’s football.

In continuing our journey and building for the future, we are focusing our efforts to ensure our Women's Team have the resources in place to help us deliver our ambitious plans for nurturing, encouraging and developing talent and striving to become a leading force in women’s football.

The Role

Working as a Physiotherapist you will deliver individualised player development and injury reduction strategies, as well as managing injury risk and enhancing individual team performance. You will contribute to the design and implementation of effective athlete monitoring strategies to ensure long-term athletic development of all Women’s players.

You will play a key role in the multi-disciplinary team working alongside the Women’s Football Medical Team to improve and extend the evidence-based medical provision and rehabilitation practices.

The Person

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold the following qualifications:

*         BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (minimum 2:1)

*         Health and Care Professional Council membership (HCPC)

*         Advanced Emergency Aid qualification (Level 5 ATMMiF)

*         Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) membership
