The Trust is forecasting further significant expansion over the next two years following its appointment as a key partner in the redevelopment of Gunnersbury Park [as a sports hub], and its move to new, larger, purpose-built premises directly adjacent to the new Brentford FC 17,500 capacity stadium near Kew Bridge in 2021.

Main Purpose of Job
To provide PE and sports coaching sessions to children, young people, and adults in Surrey (Staines and Spelthorne Area).
Responsibilities
- To deliver a variety of sports sessions professionally and with the flexibility to ensure all participants are offered coaching at a level appropriate to their ability and support needs.
- Develop relationships with participants, teaching staff and parents.
- Keep up to date monitoring including registers, VIEWS database, risk assessments and any relevant reporting documents.
- To lead on the delivery in our Key PE schools in the Staines and Spelthorne Area.
- To access all quality assurance and staff training offered by the Trust during the term of employment.
- To work with the Berkshire & Surrey Area Coordinator to establish school partnerships in the Staines and Spelthorne Area.
- To support the submission of our Local to Regional PL PFA funding application for expansion. This will involve supporting the Area coordinator in collecting case studies and surveys from sessions in Staines & Spelthorne Area.
- Follow established protocols for data protection and privacy.
- Act as a point of contact in emergency situations, providing assistance and guiding individuals to safety.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and emergency services as necessary.
- Stay informed about safeguarding policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Participate in training sessions related to safeguarding and emergency response.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities or designated personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, concerns, and actions taken.
- Effectively communicate with staff, clients, and visitors to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
- Act as a liaison between different departments regarding safeguarding matters.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to create a cohesive approach to safeguarding.
- Participate in and stay up to date with relevant child protection training and workshops.

Essential Criteria
- Minimum Level 2 or above sports coaching qualification
- Safeguarding certificate
- Emergency Aid certificate
- Current Enhanced DBS
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in delivering PE Curriculum Coaching
- Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Experience in planning and delivering sports activities, in curriculum-based PE and after school club environments in Staines & Spelthorne Area.
- Experience in understanding and commitment to physical education, sport, and long-term athlete development.
- Ability to travel to variety of workplaces within Staines & Spelthorne Area as well as West London. utilising own transport.

- Physical Education Degree or Sports Coaching Degree
- AfPE Level 3 PESS qualification
- Computer Literate (Microsoft Office) / IT skills
