We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, hardworking, and determined Coach to join our business and perform a key role within the Nottingham Forest Academy.

Based at The Nigel Doughty Academy, the role will be primarily responsible for supporting the development of the goalkeepers in the Professional Development Phase (PDP), as well as providing support to the wider programme within the hybrid model (Youth Development Phase).

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Coaching, Head of Academy Goalkeeping and Lead Phase Coaches to ensure the continuous development of PDP academy goalkeepers.
• Plan and deliver a high level of training for academy goalkeepers based upon the goalkeeping curriculum and Individual Development Plans (IDP’s).
• Liaise with PDP coaches to ensure effective practise design to support all areas of the goalkeepers technical and tactical development.
• Liaise with the 1st team Goalkeeper Coach around training schedules, player development and game planning.
• Ensure PDP goalkeepers are fully supported in all areas of their development, by effectively liaising with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to provide individualised support.
• Provide analysis for PDP goalkeepers to support their development from both training and games.
• Support the wider goalkeeper coaching programme within the Club by supporting hybrid YDP sessions.
• Create a positive environment for player development; display high standards of expectations and appearance and encourage the same from all coaches and players.
• Ensure timely and accurate updating of player information on the Academy’s player management system (PMA).
• Liaise with the Head of Academy Recruitment and other key staff to identify and recruit goalkeepers across U16-U21 age groups.
• Undertake continued professional development organised by the Academy and in line with EPPP rules.
• Attend all relevant phase and wider academy meetings.
• Monitor goalkeepers within the PDP who may be on loan periods with other Clubs, and provide detailed reports to relevant staff.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• UEFA ‘B’ Licence Minimum.
• UEFA B Licence.
• FA Youth Award.
• Excellent knowledge of Professional Football.
• Demonstrable experience working in Academy Football.
• Focus on individual player development within a team process.
• Creative presentation skills, be adaptable to work with members of staff across departments and senior staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and willing to work unsociable hours to meet deadlines.
• Dedicated to self-improvement and personal development.
• Organised, methodical and logical approach to work.
• High level IT and presentation skills, in building and delivering relevant information.
• BFAS first aid award.
• Enhanced DBS Check.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• UEFA ‘A’ Licence.
• FA Advanced Youth Award.
• UEFA A Licence.
• Have previous experience working across the Youth Development and Professional Development Phases.
• Ability to use analysis software (Hudl/Keynote/Microsoft Powerpoint).
