Description
Hull City are looking to recruit a Part-Time Retail Assistant, to join our team at the Tiger Leisure Stores in Hull. This role will be working 20 hours per week on a shift rota basis, between Monday to Sunday in line with store opening hours.
The successful applicant will be required to have good customer service skills, a positive attitude and be prepared to learn new skills. We are looking for someone who will provide all store visitors with a friendly experience, treating everyone in a respectful and approachable manner.
Candidates should be flexible with a willingness to work to the stores’ shift patterns, which could cover matchdays on weekends, mid-week evening games and covering staff sickness and holidays during the week when required.
Location: MKM Stadium Store and St Stephens Store
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Your key responsibilities
• Welcome customers and advise on any enquiries regarding official Club merchandise.
• Answer telephone enquiries.
• Ensure products, shelves and displays are well presented and restocked when necessary.
• Handle payments (cash and credit card), refunds when necessary and end of day cash reconciliation, ensuring entries are accurate.
• Sell matchday tickets as required.
• Assist with picking and collection of online orders.
• Help to check and accept deliveries of stock.
• Ensure the shop floor and storeroom areas remain clean and tidy.
• Be aware of shop theft and prevention.
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
What are we looking for?
• Must be a strong team player.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to customers.
• Good comprehension of basic mathematics.
• A willingness to adapt and cover extra shifts when required.
• Previous retail experience (preferred)
• Passion for football (preferred)
