About The Role
Leicester City in the Community are establishing their Outdoor Learning offer to bring the benefits of being outdoors to schools and local communities. Engaging students through workshops and physical activities, the Outdoor Learning Coach will develop and deliver a range of learning sessions with primary and special schools.
Utilising the brand of Leicester City Football Club, you will engage children in Outdoor Learning as well as support the school staff and community volunteers to be upskilled in Outdoor Learning, maintaining a network of support for teachers and schools.
The successful candidate will lead and deliver sessions to KS1 and KS2 children to build confidence and self-esteem, improving mental health, wellbeing and engagement with school as well as encouraging an interest in the natural environment.

Skills required for success:
- Ability to engage with children, gain their respect quickly and motivate to participate.
- Ability to form strong and appropriate relationships, demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Able to work on own initiative, developing and improving programmes to support teaching staff.
Role requirements:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject area or relevant experience gained in a similar role.
- Experience of delivering Outdoor Education activities.
- Knowledge of the natural environment.
- Experience of developing and delivering curriculum resources.
- Must satisfy relevant pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS check
- Ability to travel across multiple sites
