Our successful Mental Wellbeing Project is a unique funded project that is being delivered in high schools within Burnley and Pendle.
Supported by the Premier League Charitable Fund, the Professional Footballers’ Association, Burnley Borough Council and all the Schools involved, the aim of the project is to support young people with their mental wellbeing by having a full time BFCitC Mental Wellbeing Worker (MWW) in each of the assigned schools.
The MWW support students identified as needing help with their mental wellbeing, by offering a range of interventions in both one-to-one and group settings. The MWWs also help raise awareness of mental health within their respective schools, educating parents, students and teachers alike to make the school ‘a mentally healthy school’.
