Description

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With a focus on broadcast media, produce, film and edit football related content/features for the Club’s First Team channels - occasionally working with the U21’s, Women’s and Academy teams.

  • Present the Club’s in-house TV Channel ‘Blues TV’, which includes delivering a pre-match web-show for all first-team home fixtures alongside a pundit.

  • Conduct the Club’s weekly first-team press conferences, interviewing the Head Coach and the occasional player.

  • Occasionally attend Under-21s fixtures to write match reports and deliver post-match interviews.

  • Possess an awareness for producing content that will perform on specific media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, TikTok and Linkedin.

  • Commentate on selected Under-21s, Under-18s and Women’s fixtures when required

  • Contribute to the Club’s matchday programme.

  • Contributions to web-based content, including match reports, features and pre-match previews.

  • Develop relationships with first-team players and staff that allows you as an individual to create the most engaging content.

  • Provide ideas and content in relation to a number of campaigns, including kit and season ticket launches, significant club anniversary events, charity activities, commercial activations and end of season awards

  • Utilise the extensive club archiving system for photographs and video content

  • Regularly update the Club’s multichannel and multimedia content schedule.

  • Conduct regular research on the latest content trends and regularly contribute new and creative ideas to drive traffic and interest to the Club’s digital platforms and channels.

  • Attend Club events and support with coverage on digital channels.


PERSON SPECIFICATION​

Experience

Essential Requirements

  • Confident and comfortable in a number of live operating roles.

  • Can edit quickly under pressure using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, with the ability to produce a wide range of video in different edit styles for different platforms.

  • A basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects and have the necessary skills to build motion graphics within each project.

  • Working knowledge of current video and audio production/editing techniques

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience working as a camera operator (Sony FS7, NX5 or equivalent).

  • Flexible with working hours and happy to work evenings and weekends.

  • Copy, script, website and storyboard writing experience.

  • Full driving licence (desirable?) and ability to travel to away matches is essential.

Terms of Appointment ​

  • 5 hours per week.

  • 20 days annual leave (rising by 1 day per completed year of service, up to a maximum of 25 days, plus 8 statutory bank holidays).

  • 6-month probation period.

This role is regarded as a ‘Regulated Activity’ and is therefore subject to an Enhanced DBS check, (previously a CRB check) which includes the barred list for working with children. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
