- The Role
Aston Villa are looking for dedicated and experienced Control Room Operatives to join the matchday safety team to assist in delivering world-class events and experiences for guests.
The successful candidates will be working with the Aston Villa Security and Safety Matchday team and will be mainly in the control room, where they will be on hand to deliver safe and enjoyable events in accordance with the Spectator Safety Policy, relevant legislation and the venue safety certificate.
The role will involve working in a fast paced control room alongside the Safety Officer, control room staff and key external stakeholders. Your duties will include recording all information passed through the control room on an incident management system, responding to queries, co-ordinating communication within the control room, sharing information to key personnel and logging and escalating issues that require further attention.
You will also be required to operate and monitor CCTV systems, operate and monitor exit gates and complete relevant reports during and post event to ensure all key details are captured.
- The Person
To be considered for the role the postholder must hold a SIA CCTV license. You will also have experience of working within a busy control room as well as experience covering radio operations, logging systems and working on CCTV systems in busy environments. You must have strong communication skills, a passion for excellence, a friendly and approachable manner, and a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
This is a busy role that requires you to have strong organisational and planning skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions quickly in a fast-paced operational environment. Ideally you will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with different audiences. You will also be a proactive self-starter who acts with a high level of integrity.
