Club: Chesterfield Ladies FC

Reports to: Head Coach / Director of Football

Hours: Tuesday & Thursday evenings + Sunday matches

Salary: Voluntary

Chesterfield Ladies FC is a vibrant and ambitious football club with a commitment to developing female footballers at all levels. We compete in East Midlands Women’s Regional Premier Division and are passionate about fostering both individual and team growth. As part of our continued development, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Goalkeeper Coach to join our coaching staff.

Role Overview

The Goalkeeper Coach will be responsible for the technical, tactical, and physical development of goalkeepers across the club, focusing on first-team players. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Coach and the rest of the coaching team to ensure all goalkeepers reach their full potential and are prepared for matchdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, position-specific training sessions for goalkeepers across all age groups.

  • Develop the technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of our goalkeepers, including shot-stopping, distribution, positioning, communication, and decision-making

  • Conduct match analysis and provide feedback to goalkeepers on their performances.

  • Work closely with the Head Coach to integrate goalkeepers into team training and match preparations.

  • Monitor and assess goalkeeper progress, setting individual development plans where necessary.

  • Stay updated on modern coaching methods and innovations in goalkeeper training.

  • Assist with team selection and preparation for matchday tactics involving goalkeepers.

  • Ensure all sessions are run in accordance with the club’s values, safeguarding policies, and FA standards.


Qualifications & Experience

  • FA Goalkeeping Coaching Level 2 (minimum) or equivalent. FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Goalkeeping would be highly advantageous.

  • Previous experience coaching goalkeepers, ideally in a women’s football environment.

  • Strong understanding of modern goalkeeping techniques and strategies.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with players, coaches, and club staff.

  • Experience in match analysis and individual player feedback.

  • A passion for the development of female footballers and the growth of the women’s game.

Additional Information
