This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Analyst to join us as Lead First Team Match Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into our Technical Director and Football Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for using their technical and analytical expertise to deliver comprehensive analysis through video and statistical information to the first team coaching staff and players.
Duties will include pre match opposition presentation and analysis, matchday live coding to provide live analysis and feedback, post-match analysis presentation and analysis of training sessions. You will also be responsible for managing and updating video databases on our video platform (Hudl), collecting and storing a variety of original statistics to compare, review and identify any trends throughout the season on our opposition and ourselves.
Primarily based at the Club's training ground you will get to enjoy the new facilities, however, you will be required to attend all home matchdays and all away fixtures to capture and code wide-angle footage of games using Hudl SportsCode to provide instant feedback to coaches throughout the game as well as at half time and full time.
Using statistics and video content from other parties (Wyscout) to improve and supplement information for coaching staff. Organising and keeping an up-to-date store of all games, training sessions, presentations etc so they are accessible to staff, maintaining all equipment and staying up to date with current trends and new technology all form part of this role.
A degree in Performance Analysis, Sport Science or equivalent is essential and candidates must have experience of working in Professional Football and it would be beneficial to have extensive knowledge of League 1.
Candidates applying for this role must have good statistical knowledge along with excellent IT and data visualisation skills.
Strong communication and excellent organisation skill are essential whilst management experience would be beneficial as you will be responsible for managing any interns and work experience students.
