An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced analyst for our Academy department at a pivotal time of transition and change for Burnley Football Club.

The person

The ideal candidate will have experience in an Academy (category 1/2) Analysis department developing a performance analysis strategy in relation to both player and team development. They will also need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings and weekends.

Role expectations

The Lead Academy Analyst will be expected to:

• Implement and lead an analysis strategy for the whole academy that will support both players and staff in their development.


• Lead the academy analysis department in their weekly tasks and monthly planning meetings. Covering games, presentations, ILP’s and coach development.


• Design and implement a Data Performance model to effectively benchmark and monitor player development.


• Ensure all Academy games are captured and stored for reference on Hudl.


• Maintain a library of footage to be used as an educational tool for players and staff alike.


• Liaise with players and staff on player development progress.


• Coding games in line with the coaching and playing philosophy of Burnley FC
