Celtic Football Club is currently seeking an International Soccer Academy Manager to support within the Commercial department. Working within the Soccer Academy team, this is an important managerial role, responsible for managing the relationships of existing international partner clubs and the programmes that exist within their contracts. This role will also be responsible for driving incremental revenue from new international club partnerships.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To identify, present to and secure new clubs into the Celtic Soccer Academy International Club Partnership programme.
- To manage and ensure first class delivery of key commercial components of club partnership agreements including in person delivery of overseas coaching camps, coach education workshops, team tours, kit sales, international coaches’ convention etc.
- To manage and deliver key activation components of club partnership agreements including, marketing responsibilities, access to any assets, branding etc.
- To manage all logistics required for the successful delivery of the club partnership programme including staffing, travel etc.
- To ensure commercial viability of soccer academy programmes.
- To grow and maximise international soccer academy revenues.
- To support in the growth of our Online Team Training Series & Webinar Series.
- To provide support for our growing online digital coach education programmes.
- To maintain all records of activity and provide timeous reports as required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- UEFA B Licence, UEFA Youth B Licence or Scottish FA Advanced Children’s Licence or equivalent is essential.
- UEFA A Licence or UEFA Elite Youth A Licence desirable.
- Sound awareness of Celtic’s international soccer academy operation.
- Background or experience within coach education.
- Experience of financial planning and budgetary control processes.
- Experienced people manager with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in international business development.
- Complete understanding of the business development process.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise efficiently.
- Good use of IT skills including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams)
- Previous experience in a football specific coordinator/management role.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and match days.
- International travel requirements minimum 5 times per year and so a valid passport will be required
